<Poem>
<End Poem>
<Translation>
Long, long the road runs to the country's west,
Far, far away from home I know no rest.
Amid the snowy hills I pass the night
A stranger by a lonely candle-light.
The farther from my home folks I'm away;
The dearer I find my servants each day.
A roving life like this how can I bear?
Tomorrow New Year's Day I'm no-one's care.
